Promo:
This Story Is Going To Be Personal - Aleksandar's first solo concert unveils his very first compositions, kept private for over 25 years. These songs, born from moments of turbulence and transformation, hold memories anchored deep within – blending somber reflections with moments of joy.
Themes and Reflections:
The compositions serve as time capsules, taking Aleksandar and the audience back to forgotten moments. Through his music and his stories, Aleksandar navigates the complexities of life, reflecting on the fall of the Ex-Yugoslavia, personal experiences from that period, family, home, struggles, and friendships.
Authentic sound:
As a one-man band, Aleksandar integrates live looping and electronic effects into his performances, adding layers of depth and complexity to his arrangements. His arrangements for two nylon string guitars create a signature sound that is both intimate and expansive
Audience reactions:
Witnesses to Aleksandar's previous concerts were moved by the honesty of his performance and the captivating stories he shared about his songs.
Quotes:
Bea:
"It was beautiful! With your story you already opened yourself up to the audience. But when you started playing you took us on a journey through your soul. It was so intense. You told a story with your music. Your story became our story and vice versa.
Alfonso:
"You used your music to take us for a ride throughout your life. Every melody, every chord, every little story that you shared with us had meaning and purpose. From a place of honesty and vulnerability you managed to make us dream of a time and place that should be foreign, yet it ended up feeling more and more familiar. I couldn’t recommend it more."
